Hubby’s Home, Circuit Training & a Nasty Concotion

Well, this morning I’m happy to say my husband is back.  Due to the flooding here in Colorado Springs I didn’t know if I would see him at all this week.  For those of you that don’t know he is a Soldier for the Army.  He was out in the field on base at Ft. Carson for a week doing some training and because of the flooding they closed the roads, so they couldn’t get back.  Luckily, the rain stopped and they were allowed to leave.

I always feel so much more secure when my husband is home.  I realize the first night he returns from his trainings just how tired I am because I usually have trouble sleeping while he’s away. I did feel somewhat better this time because of our in home security system, which is our dog Sandy. She use to sleep in her Kennel at night, which she seemed to like, but my son likes her to sleep by his bed. She sneaks out of his room and sleeps in the living room or in the hallway. She has this killer bark that would put fear in the hearts of many, so I know if someone was trying to break in she probably would either scare them away or would wake me so that I would have enough time to call for help, grab Ayden and hide in a closet. I make sure to have the phone by me while I sleep. Perhaps I’m paranoid, but I rather be slightly paranoid and prepared than the alternative.

This is my killer dog, doesn’t she just look lethal!

Anyways, here’s the equipment you will need and today’s circuit.
-Jump rope
-Weights
-Mat
-Timer (I use my phone)
-Water
-remember to look up exercise beforehand if you don’t know them.

ab-workout

I found this on a blog called, Peanut Butterfingers. I will be using many circuits from her blog. I have to admit I’m pretty sore today. The circuit training must be working some muscles out that have been at rest. Perhaps TMI but my butt itches, I wonder if that happens as a result of working out…perhaps it’s growing. HA!

As far as breakfast goes….UM I’m very dissatisfied, but at least I’m honest. I despised my breakfast but I still ate it because I hating wasting food and I needed to eat. I don’t really know why I’m posting the recipe, but I figure perhaps you can come up with something better using the same ingredients. At least I got my protein in. I shall call this, “The Nastiest Greek Yogurt Egg Bread of the Century.”

Greek

Here’s what I used:
2 slices of wheat bread
2 Eggs
Sea salt
Cinnamon
Chobani Black Cherry Greek Yogurt (It was not recalled)
Coconut Flakes
Oats
Sugar-free Syrup ** loved the syrup with a dash of salt, stevia and cinnamon (best part of this meal)

So here’s what I did.
I sprayed my pan with olive oil spray.

Then place my bread into the pan.

I put one egg on top off each piece of bread, sprinkle it with sea salt and covered.

I let it cook (the eggs looked pretty raw even after cooking for 5 minutes covered), so I flipped the bread and eggs.

I then added enough Greek yogurt to cover the bare side of the bread and covered for a few more minutes.

While this was cooking I made the syrup. I poured the syrup into a microwavable bowl and added sea salt, stevia and cinnamon and microwaved for 30 seconds.

I place the Greek Yogurt Egg Bread onto a plate and sprinkle on coconut flakes, a dash of oats, and cinnamon and added my yummy syrup.

Then I ate it. I think it was the texture of the yogurt on top that I didn’t like. Perhaps yogurt topped pancakes would have been better or perhaps no yogurt on any type of bread would be best…maybe mixed into pancake batter or with oatmeal. Hmm. Perhaps I’ll try that next time.
